He's not necessarily that bad but he stagnated a long time ago and hasn't improved in years. So as you grow you're going to notice how stale his work is since there's no improvement.

He makes really cool dystopia concrete looking landscapes. I grew up reading Akako and always loved the art.
He messes around a lot with different styles on the youtube channel. His own characters look pretty good, but when he makes how to draw manga stuff that attempts at mimicking another artist, you notice some things are a bit off.
