Is it worth it? I've always wondered what exactly was offered with the Fundamental classes.
i am also intrested in this class bump
>>2324722
it's on tbp, search schoolism and there's a torrent of a bunch of classes including that one
>>2324722
all of them are avaible on piratebay
>>2324985
>all of them
There's only 5
>>2325019
Yeah.
Basically, this class among others are missing. However, I'd hope the Drawing Fundamental class would have been ripped.
>>2324722
Drawing fundamentals was fine, though the sticky covers more than it does. Break down forms into basic shapes, learn to measure, EXTREMELY basic perspective and composition, that kind of stuff.
>>2325352
Yea, but the first book on construction the sticky offers is Fun with a Pencil. Is there a better alternative?
>>2325416
Can you share it, anon? Please?! I love you.
anyone have the storyboarding class at schoolism?
>>2325472
https://pirateproxy.tf/torrent/12360014/Schoolism_-_drawing_and_painting_tutorials
>>2325535
Amazing work, anon. Thanks for that.
>>2325475
i'm on the class. not sharing though :)
>>2325535
>https://pirateproxy.tf/torrent/12360014/Schoolism_-_drawing_and_painting_tutorials
>>2325472
that's not me and those aren't all the schoolisms that i have.
>>2325709
could you share the one from scott robertson? I bought the book but it would be nice to watch that.
It's a shame it isn't up on schoolism anymore
>>2325535
In which order should those be watched?
And thanks anon.
>>2325716
i dont have anywhere to share it on.
>>2325724
aw man, I really want that course, that's a shame really. It's actually one of the problems I have, It's so difficult to understand reflective surfaces and make them believable
maybe we could change via dropbox or something?
if it won't be that much of a problem please leave your skype. I'm currently on a schoolism subscription so If you would like to exchange things it would be nice
if not then fuck me I guess
>>2325733
well anyway, If anyone has this course I'd be willing to share cgma courses and schoolism ones too, things like that
bumping for the storyboarding classes
>>2325724
You could upload them to mega.
>>2325733
I have it too but, You do know that the book has a link with a password to all his videos what show most of the stuff in video form? Basically schoolism is the same as that. The schoolism has him doing just some extra demo paintings but theory wise you're missing nothing out.
>>2325755
I really hope I'm not missing out, It would still be nice to have the videos tho since he's such a good teacher
but thank you anon, it's nice to know I'm not missing much
I'm still up for trade though heh
>>2325760
Environmental Design by Nathan fowkes actually interests me. I could trade for that. If you give me a place where I can upload it, it would take me a few minutes.
>>2325765
well you could use mega, or I can give you an email account and use wetransfer. I don't know wich one would be better since I don't know how big it is
>>2325775
I used mega. It's 6gb. Give me a few minutes and it should be uploaded
>>2325776
jesus christ, 6 GB? in 6 min?! that's too much of an internet connection for me, since I have such a shitty connection could you leave your mail so I can use wetransfer? or skype, srsly wut m8, because mega won't work for me
but thank you, I really appreciate your time
>>2325783
I mean, so I can send you the environmental course
I can download from mega but can't upload
>>2325783
I have 100mbit up and down so np but mega is limiting my speed so it'll take a bit longer than i expected. If you give me your email i'll send you the link
>>2325794
>>2325794
[email protected]
thanks anon.
cmon guys be generous share it with all of us
sent ;)
>>2325804
give me your username and I'll PM you ;^)
>>2325804
well I´m going to upload the schoolism classes when I get most of them, I need to convert the videos I have first and that takes a little time, but don´t worry anon, just leave your skype and I´ll see what I can give you
I'd say the subscription is worth it, so far I really liked Intro to digital painting, gesture drawing, and Fundamentals of character design. Switching classes is dumb though, why does it cost a dollar?
>>2325475
if anyone can link a program that can record internal audio on a mac (that works in el capitan) i could sort it out
>>2325810
That'd be cool. I don't use skype, but I hang around ic quiet a bit.
reported this thread to schoolism
see you in prison
>>2325368
I started with fun with a pencil 2 years ago, went through the entire book and did all the exercises. Doing that was more helpful and generated more milage than his class did. Not to say his class is bad, but if you won't do the exercises in fun with a pencil when they are free and immediately available, then there's no reason to think you'd do any better with his class.
>>2325983
>a program that can record internal audio on a mac
let me know if any of these links work

>>2325753
Mega is no longer secure.
>>2325733
Give me your skype. I do my best to keep myself off any radars.
>>2327164
Why?
>>2327376
any site that you have to make an account on is not secure. any site partnered with Facebook without you logging in is not secure. I would upload them if I had a laptop and free wifi but it's been hard to find a reliable place that has stream-able wifi that's not password restricted.
>>2326275
>Do all the exercises in the book
>Attempt a drawing
>Still symbol drawing
Nah, fun with a pencil was a waste of time. Granted, I did enjoy Loomis' other books. But fun with a pencil is not fun or helpful.
>>2327626
probably because you have downs.
>>2325716
>Scott Roberston used to have vids at Schoolism
Why did they remove them? I guess cause he isn't teaching there anymore? Kind of a shame they just removed his videos like that.
>>2327682
the storyboard class came back as self taught only so maybe that will too
>>2327685
do you have that class by any chance anon
>>2327626
if symbol draing is your problem then you need to do edwards or dodson's books
>>2327797
Who?
>>2327835
draing on the right side of the brain and keys to drawing, read the sticky
>>2327949
neither of these are true. you guys sound like a bunch of amateurs telling each other what to do.
>>2328730
Yourself included, scrub. Keys should be the first book anyone reads.
>>2328739
Why?
>>2328760
Literally it's like the same book any basic drawing college level course would recommend buying.
>>2328767
Colleges don't teach art.
>>2327949
You only need to read one of those, correct?
>>2328770
there are plenty of schools that do teach art. not to mention some people prefer more abstract art
>>2328770
Love the Animators Survival Kit image macro meme.
Any good college (even community college) would have a basic drawing class as well as life drawing, don't be stupid.
>>2328775
They have drawing classes, yes. But just because you have a person who is a teacher and a room full of students does not mean you have a room full of artists. As I've asked in other posts: Where do you work, anon?
>>2328772
>>2328780
>But just because you have a person who is a teacher and a room full of students does not mean you have a room full of artists.
Doesn't matter, how hard is it to teach someone what's in bettys book?
>>2328780
i like how you completely disregarded >>2328774
of course it's likely that a room full of students don't have the means to work professionally as artists. they lack experience and direction. that doesn't discredit art schools. they are designed to learn just that. some are better, some are worse. you can't just say "colleges dont teach art"
>>2328782
Because people in the questions thread told me to read just one.
>>2328786
think for yourself
an abundance of knowledge is never a bad thing
>>2328785
I can't tell if any of you are serious. You ignored my "where do you work" question.
>>2328787
K. Aren't they just going over the same things, though?
>>2328788
What does where I work have to do with anything? Are you retarded?
>>2328792
If you're not working with art, why should I listen to anything you have to say?
>>2328794
where are you working that gives you the authority to tell people colleges don't teach art? i'm making the case that there are good and not so good schools but you can learn in either circumstance if you apply yourself and keep a positive open mind. i've made my case now three times. you just keep saying colleges don't teach art and ask for credentials when you're proven wrong. i don't need to prove credentials. the industry speaks for itself.
>>2328794
Like I give a fuck if you want to listen to me or not. But don't go around telling people that keys to drawing isn't requirement reading when it's the most basic of basic books. Be your own special kind of screw-up.
>>2328798
It's not.
>>2328797
You don't know a single thing about this industry. You probably just finished your third semester of community college and are now up late playing league of legends over your winter break. You're not going to make it as an artist.
>>2328801
What industry? You mean the photobashing one? There are different kinds.
>>2328801
>I can't tell if any of you are serious. You ignored my "where do you work" question.
seems very fitting
i think it's pretty funny you've resorted to empty insults to protect your own bruised ego. please, educate me on the industry which you seem to think you know so much about.
one thing i know about not even just working as a professional artist but just about life is to not talk down to people and have the capacity to have a productive conversation and have the humility to admit when you're wrong and learn from it, which you seem to lack.
>>2328804
Then, admit you're wrong. I've met thousands of SJW warriors like you, you're always playing the victim whenever anyone has a thought you don't agree with. You're brash, arrogant, and the worst type of person to have on a team. If you don't get your way you resort to name-calling and belittling.
And your industry, of course. The fast food industry.
>>2328807
empty insults and trolling can only garner so many replies. not to mention blatant hypocrisy. if you have actual insights into the art industry i would love to hear them if not then this conversation is over
>>2328812
You're the one who brought up the industry, not me. Best of luck with whatever you think makes a commercial artist viable.
the troll is probably either miku or the guy who fucks nintendo characters...you know who you are
sage
is it me or are trolls on /ic/ getting stupider
>>2328820
whatever you say nintendo fucker
>>2328820
What is the point you're trying to make exactly? The other anon asked for you to educate him on the industry, but you just insulted him and then accused him of insulting you. You ask for people's credentials but don't offer your own. You make no actual logical points but continuously try to act superior.
>>2328829
>>2328831
Only proving my point it's you. You're like an open book with your posting style.
>>2328832
Wait, how do you fuck a Nintendo character?
>>2328833
>>2328834
>You have no idea who I am.
you're flustering...your identity has been found so just give it up, nintendofucker.
>>2328837
llet's try to get this thread back on track guys. who's got the schoolism storyboarding vids? ;_;
What is even going on in this topic.
>>2328843
shame you dont have the storyboarding one ;_;
>>2328844
Link me the class? I think I can find it online. I've been having trouble finding them because schoolism keeps removing classes off of their websites.
>>2328843
I have it.
>>2328845
http://www.schoolism.com/instructors.php?id=9
this one, thanks a bundle anon
>>2328846
Hard to track something that's never been uploaded, dumdum.
>>2328848
Just know they're monitoring, dumdum. If they can force Peers to take their content down they'll have no problem getting your information from Chinkmoot to send you to court.
>>2328852
lol cute.
>>2328852
That's not exactly how it works. Tracking someone to THIS extend is nearly impossible.
>>2328852
i think you overestimate the repercussions and the level of legal action schoolism will take
>>2328856
He thinks he understands tech, let him be. I will try to find the storyboard class, if it exists. I will let you know if it's even online, which I doubt. There are three websites that still host all of the torrents, but because of this guy, I cannot post them.
>>2328859
Technically speaking, if tracking was a strong as anon claims, they could just track him from the screen shot provided via this board. I'm going to link this thread over to Schoolism and get this man expelled.
>>2328862
Get who expelled? The one ratting us out or me?
>>2328863
Going to link this thread to the proper authorities to rat that paranoid anon out. Oh boy, he's going to get it!
>>2328863
you sound scared
why you questioning if it's you or not? scared of that tye tye DICK bro?

Wait, you had to SAVE UP commission money to pay for a 144$ subscription? Hahahaha. Don't quit your day job, friend. :)
>>2330092
I backed the kickstarter. God stop being so retarded.
>>2330067
Lol this kid thinks the schoolism classes are actually worth it.
I deleted a good portion of the classes I found because they weren't that great. Schoolism is turning into Gnomom, it's not even worth doing the pay groups anymore to get the videos.
>>2330083
>>2330097
You sound like you draw really shitty art for a low price just so you can eat out every once and a while. How does it feel to be that poor knowing you're paying an online class "hard earned" money each month so they can jew you out of it with sub-par classes?
The Foundation patreon is 100x better than what Schoolism is putting out. The only thing I've ever purchased from Schoolism was the Mullins videos because Mullins.
Keep selling out, faggot.
>>2330190
>Waaaaah I can't afford it so I'll just say it isn't worth it
Fox & Grapes ladies and gentlewomen. I'm not even gonna blast you on this I'll just end it short with: your IQ is below 74.
>The Foundation patreon is 100x better than what Schoolism is putting out.
Oh you mean the latest and greatest pirateable torrents on trackers? If those weren't uploaded I wonder what you would have said then? You sure love waiting for someone to provide your education needed to make a career out of this.
It's like applying to the spring term of a college; you either get in while there are seats available or wait until the summer term opens. If you can't do spring you'll sit out and wait and waste precious time. That's what you're doing when you sit there and wait "oh boy oh boy I can't wait for some handouts on my CGaypeers" like an utter nigger.
Education and time is to be taken seriously and it doesn't matter if you go to school for it or not. Keep months for uploads, retard.
>>2330203
>I'm not even gonna blast you on this I'll just end it short with: your IQ is below 74.
abolutely rekalekt btfo he's not coming back here again after that roasting.

Get some salt for those wounds. Even if it's true at least I earn money?
sage
>>2330205
Below 74 and still making more money than he does with my art. Ouch.
>>2330206
I, too, was a founder of the pateron before they went live with the videos. But, unlike you, I don't see a point at throwing hundreds of dollars at a company making mediocre videos. I have responsibilities that involve the exchange of money between two parties and it's nice having a bank account that isn't empty. You ok man? If this is you blasting other people on this thread, you need a hobby that isn't art. You've got something wrong with you if this is how you talk to random people on the internets.

It's not for fixing symbol drawing, it's for understanding basic form. Key's to Drawing or Edwards book are better for symbol drawing.
