boring
maybe a good still panel in a comic
>>
Well done.
>>
>>2298313
face looks bad imo as well, too uncanny and theres some sort of angle or perspective error that im not gonna spend time figuring out
>>
It's fantastic. I love the level of anatomy.
>>
>>2298338
I agree, there is something wrong with the face's perspective

this is a type of render I usually use, I actually intend on trying my hand at comic at some point.

>>2298338
quite right I did freehand the perspective, the assets I mean. You talking about the face, though ?

>>2298353
not sure what you mean about the face's perspective, doesn't feel that wrong to me, care to elaborate ?

Here is something else I did recently
>>
>>2298313
Next time, consider posting in one of the designated critique threads, like the draw thread or the stylization thread. I think the drawing's alright, though! More time was obviously spent on the figure than the computer monitor, tablet... Basically everything else in the picture, lol (no wires?). Like some other anons were saying, it's a little boring, I don't really see why you felt compelled to draw this scene in particular. Judging by the disparity in confidence and style between the face, hands, hair, and environment, I'm going to assume it was drawn from some sort of reference. If it is, it's not a bad study, if not, I would work on unifying the different parts of your art more. Treat your environment as though it were another character, work on how you define the muscles (esp. the neck muscles), etc.

Mugen is that you

Her hand seems like it's floating in front of her face rather than supporting it i.e. doesn't distort her skin or hair quite enough. The fact that her posture seems to be a slump while her head is practically upright contributes to this methinks. Also the width of those knuckles does't look like it matches the width of her palm (I know it's foreshortened but it's not quite right). Great start.
>>
>>2298376
I think this more than anything, it feels boring but not necessarily unified in mark making, you can tell the comp used line tool or shift click (versus rotate shift drag) and the detail shift on some parts have more to do with line confidence rather than rendering. Its digital so its okay to make a new layer and redraw ontop of something once you are more comfortable with the form to focus on line weight more then erase and merge the layers. even adding basic value (I am literally just saying make all of the comp dark, her skin all one tone, ect) to help break up shapes in the image.
>>
>>2298444
also the issue with the face is the tangents of the hand make the face seem like its not quite sitting on the head right. Since the hand is covering the jaw it doesn't quite read right (this can even be technically correct) however as a designer its good to spot this before and or to add rendering to make it read better.

I think her face is fine, I would bring her eye and the corner of her mouth up a bit but that's it. I think there are more problems with her body and the perspective there and that becomes more apparent when you take away everything else and just look at the simplified lines here. Her clavicles seem to be a bit low, the right boob and armpit should be higher and I'd make her shoulder/trapezius more rounded and bring her shoulder and arm in a bit. Other than that, it's a nice picture. I like your style.
>>
>>2298378
Dude, why'd you have to say that, I think you scared him away.
Here I was, thinking he would post more unseen stuff.

Also, I think the OP pic was really done quickly, from what I've seen of this guy he can get really, really crazy regarding details

lol that hand is fucked
>>
>>2298592
It's sad that you are not born with opposable thumbs
>>
>>2298625
Uh what? Try that with your hand in a mirror if you don't believe it. The guy is right, the hand is incorrect.
>>
>>2298627
I've tried, I genuinely don't see what's wrong.

Though if I have to criticize, it would be the pinky since from my current anatomy knowledge, that is physically impossible to extend the distal phalanx that far. But I may be wrong
>>
>>2298592
oh wow holy shit that thing is fucked

anon...it has nothing to do with opposable thumbs, you definitely can't do this with your hands. Its sad you cant see what's wrong with it look where that plane of the hand is, excuse the lines using shitty laptop touchpad
>>
>>2298638
Again, your hand is more flexible than what sometimes drawing books implies.

Simplified planes are only for guidelines, for the rest observe from life and analyze bone articulations and fat locations

I've tried it in a mirror with the exact same pose, and it worked. Try it yourself
>>
>>2298644
Nope it's impossible to show all of that plane of the hand and all 4 of those knuckles while showing all that thumb at the same time. I dare you to recreate the angle OP made. And the guidelines still apply....that part of the hand is still one plane that acts as a square if you simplify it

no bad but off the top of my head, the hatching looks like shit and the eyes are dead as fuck

and the circle on the back of that monitor Christ
>>
>>2298313
I like it except for the mangled left hand. Even if a pose like that is physically possible, it's not even remotely natural.
>>
>>2298726
Looking at it again, I got confused when I tried to mimic the pose. Hand is fine.
>>
>>2298568
hi newfag
>>
>>2298313
There is something so weird with the hand on her face. I can't put my finger on it.
>>
>>2298868
The pressure of her hand should affect the skin and hair. Right now it looks pasted on.
>>
>>2298537
Well nigga I'm sorry but if he's "scared" off by a single post he shouldn't be posting on here anyway
>>
>>2298313
Make the room more comfy. It looks boring but I think it's pretty good just work on the hand. Add some cool shit to the room.
>>
>>2298313
Perspective of her screen is fucked up.
>>
Besides looking like Granger it looks good to me. Rest of the people here are knitpicking just to knitpick
>>

Actually, it's "nitpicking".
