Shit.
Tarzan'sa story built around white supremacy. The whole point of the story is that a white man with noble blood is inherently better at ruling Africa than the natives. While there is an element of "getting back to nature" and shrugging off the cultural mres of "civilisation", it's still rooted in the idea that a white man is naturally stronger, smarter, and inherently more ethical than any jungle dwelling darky. That's not just the subtext of the books, it's the fucking TEXT.
But you can't very well make a movie about that these days, can you? So they spend the whole fucking movie apologizing for colonization and revolve the plot around stopping King Leopold... while also positioning the white man as the saviour of Africa and having the white female lead pining for her "native land" of the Congo.
It's a schizophrenic mess. And you don't even get to see Margot Robbie's tits. No redeeming features, 0/10.
