I was home for a few weeks at the end of the past semester and ended up reading a few of the books. I only picked them back up because I didn't have anything else to read, but I ended up loving them again. I wasn't that into them when I was a kid and they were coming out, but reading them now made me realize how special they are. The later books were a lot more adult than I picked up when I was little, Rowling really is an adult author.
