I usually just use really simple Google search terms. For that one, I would have just used something like "city street" or "above city street" or something like that. Appending things like "from above", "looking down", "from plane" (for a more extreme example), etc, tend to help at times.

How do we all feel about multi-size?
>>
>>2660955

It's alright, but I like it a lot when it comes down to one being so large that they cannot individually pick out normal sized people anymore with another 'smaller' one that can, but is still gargantuan compared normal sized people.

There was a caption one time a long time ago that had multi size and it had the larger one saying "I'm jealous of you. You can actually see the people down there,"

I think this is the place to ask this question.

1-2 years ago I've found a picture on giantesscity, which featured a mega short-haired blonde girl (I think) in a position similar to this one >>2660960 in a top-down view. The image was very high-res with no destruction at all. The girl was completely nude and was leaning over a city with her head barely above the buildings.

Doe anyone here have it?

Posting a few of my favorites to keep the thread alive.

I think I might be getting some recollection of an image or two like that, but I'm not even sure where I'd start looking to try to track it down. Perhaps some "from above" or "giga" tag over on GiantessBooru, though I doubt their tagging system will be of much help ...

Those are some great images you've posted, regardless! Good to see some appropriately sized girls enjoying themselves. :)
>>
>>2660982
>GiantessBooru

Not him, but I think their tagging got completely wiped about a year ago.

Also about GiantessBooru... I'm starting to get extremely pessimistic about that site. A lot of nothing worthwhile will get posted on there, and a lot of what's actually good gets uploaded in a lower resolution than where you can find it anywhere else.
>>
>>2660956

>>
>>2660984
Yeah, the "collage" tag got bulk messed with a few years ago, which is why they shut off non-moderator tag editing. For some reason they haven't worked out a way to bulk revert that individual user's edits, or to do a simple find-and-replace for the tag the user changed "collages" to.

At the end of the day, GiantessBooru is a product of who uses it. And the simple fact of the matter is that very few collage artists bother to directly upload any of their content there anymore. So what does find its way there are frequently low resolution/poorly compressed versions of images someone has stumbled upon elsewhere online ... which are frequently poorly tagged.

Buuuut, it's still the best general-purpose, all-in-one giantess gallery the web has to offer. I was hoping that GiantessLove would manage to take its place with enhanced features and greater artist focus ... but it honestly feels like a bit of a mess currently. I really think they need to overhaul how the front page, gallery and user pages/galleries work/interact.

DeviantArt and GiantessCity, which has REALLY slowed down to a crawl recently. Since what's good gets posted mostly on DeviantArt anyway, I'm really only on GiantessCity for Chuckwagon's bi-quarterly-ish image dump.

>How close are we coming to the limit on this site? Wasn't it something like 100MB?
I'm not entirely sure how close we are. The website doesn't tell me how close we are to reaching any of the limits. There was a 100MB limit, but I can't remember if that was just the total uploadable file size, or if it was the total traffic allowed. We're at 80 images currently, so maybe there's still a bit of room left.

>So I want to believe she enjoys it.
Katy Perry has tweeted fetish pics before, but yeah, not sure if it's not just supposed to be "look at this funny pic". She seems to have a bit of a silly sense of humour. However, she does appear to be a fan of size themes to some extent - there's a reasonable amount of forced perspective images peppered through her instagram, she's performed with/on a number of giant objects during her stadium performances (microphones, bananas, etc). Nothing definitive ... but I want to believe!

>>2661416
There's no such thing as too much giantess Taylor Swift! But Demi Lovato is a cute too, I'd agree there's not enough giantess content featuring her.

This isn't really my fetish but I like the idea of being sort of cradled in the palm of her hand and carried around. Maybe I would rest in her ear canal if she was big enough, or I could cling to the tiny hairs around her nipples like a friendly louse.

>>

I always wonder how upskirt situations would work in a "real" giantess scenario. It probably depends mostly on the girl, but I imagine they might be a little too preoccupied with other things other than what a few tiny people under her might be able to see. After all, women typically don't need to worry about what might be seen up their skirt from below when they're just standing around on the sidewalk ... unless it's windy.

If her clothes didn't grow with her, of course her first response would probably be the typical "I'm futilely trying to cover myself with just my arms/hands" pose. But if her clothes grew with her, maybe it's not something she'd think about straight away.

What I'm really trying to say is - "giantess upskirts are nice".

>>2661670
Yes please, I want that computer too. Especially if it worked on any girl, not just celebrities. Extra points if it does video too.

That, or a fully functioning size ray. I'm not being picky.

Kinda in relation to >>2661682, where does everyone draw their line at "too big"?

I'm not really sure personally, though I know I don't like those "cosmic" sort of images where the giantess is happily floating in the vacuum of space while looking at a tiny eyeball-sized Earth. Seems to push it a little too far for me.

Once all possibility for any sort of interaction is gone, that's too big. To put an actual size on it I'd say...small country sized? Basically when cities cease to even look like cities, even when they're on all fours and closer. Then it just becomes a woman standing on a flat ground with a blue background. Ever read 70 Mile Jenny? That's about my limit. Maybe a tad smaller. Good story by the way, wish it was longer.

I'm with you on the cosmic stuff. I loathe it.

I always start thinking of strange shit while looking at a giantess picture like, "How long would it take her to cross the Atlantic Ocean at this size?" or "Is she big enough to drink out of the ocean and not even notice that she's sucking up all kinds of sea creatures and junk?"

Some stories actually articulate all of this pretty well...before they're all abandoned with no ending.

>What I'm really trying to say is - "giantess upskirts are nice".

Absolutely, despite the dangerous position you have to be in to see them. Depending on her size you may never be able to outrun a step she takes, and that's not taking into account her noticing someone taking a peek up her skirt. Of course I assume this a risk most of us are willing to take.

>That, or a fully functioning size ray. I'm not being picky.

I've wanted a shrink ray (with which to shrink myself) longer than I can remember, before even formalizing the idea that I might have a fetish for this sort of thing.

I mean, honestly, I think it's possible to develop fetishes through simple exposure. I started off with a purely SW fetish, but my love of giantesses grew naturally through exposure (a lot of popular SW websites are tacked onto giantess websites).

If you really "want" this fetish ... just hang around some more. Find some pics of your favourite models/celebrities/etc as giantesses, things like that.

>>2661795
I actually only read 70 Mile Jenny fairly recently. It was quite good, the author did a good job with that size than I've seen previously. I guess that's why it's one of the classics.

>>2661799
I agree, she's certainly a prime giantess candidate.

It's strange that I feel like there's a whole range of different celebrity personalities that I feel like would suit giantess stature very well. Maybe it's post hoc though, I might just be retroactively trying to assign some "good for giantess personality" when the actual reason is just "she's cute and I'd like to see her bigger!!" Hard to judge. :P

>>2661885
Aubrey Plaza sure is a cutie, but I bounce a lot between whether I want to make collages of her or not. I'm not sure why, sometimes I think she'd be a great giantess, other times I'm totally meh. Anyway, pic related, a collage from 6 months or so ago. Not one I'm hugely proud of though.

>Absolutely, despite the dangerous position you have to be in to see them.
I usually just imagine that she's so huge that it's (almost) impossible to not get a flash or two. Especially with such a short skirt!

Oh, my bad, I assumed you were the same B3 anon from earlier! Still, the two you've produced in the last day or so are beating me out!

I can see what you mean. I think it's just that I fell in love with her in Parks and Recreation. But it can't be denied the cold nature she had in the show wouldn't lend well to one of a giantess.

>>2662268
And I'm glad you finished it, too! I've had the same thought regarding names. I actually posted some Grande in that Yogile collection. Not even a fan, I think she makes for a great giantess. Anyway, thanks again, this is awesome.

Literally these threads on /hr/. We had semi-regular /hr/ giantess threads like 4/5 years ago. I was already a size fan at the time, and had a tiny bit of experience messing around in Photoshop. The threads were going slow, and I had a bit of free time, so I thought I might try to make a collage or two and maybe try to do some requests with /hr/ material.

A few days after I had started, I made my deviantART account so I had somewhere to upload them after the thread died ... and the rest is history!

I love how the hair drapes over the buildings. So good.
Also doc, what's your process? Does the image start in your head, or do you work from a photo backwards sort of?
>>
>>2663397
It's usually pretty straight forward and boring really. I just find a nice image of a woman I want to work with, then spend some time searching for a good background with matching lighting/perspective. Details like destruction extent/position is then just born out of the layout of the background image.

I kinda wonder whether this is really the "best" way to go about things though. I feel as if, in this way, the concept is fit around the image. But it would be nice if the opposite were true - if I had some predetermined concept/scenario, then endeavored to recreate it as best I could. I guess that would make the visual storytelling of a collage much more compelling, rather than just being "big girl superimposed on background".

Buuut, maybe I'm just being a pretentious douche nozzle here. I'm just super envious of artists like AnAlternateUsername who just seem to be able to effortlessly create cinematic looking giantess content that ooze story to me. I'm a fanboy. c:

>>2663989
Hidable in what sense? The giantess isn't so large that people can still escape from her and hole up somewhere safe? Or the giantess is small enough that she can go find someplace to hide (she's not immediately visible to everyone in the city)?

I've had this dumb story idea that the clothes grow also, including jewelry, etc...ends up being a group of people that try to steal and sell the tons of gold or what have you once the giantess leaves (hopefully).

Man, if her feet weren't submerged in the source image, I could totally see this used for a Dubai collage with her looking down at the Burj Khalifa between her legs.

>>
>>2664145
That's a neat idea for a story, especially if the giantess later decides that she wants the jewelry back and goes to track down the thief. Maybe she would hold several cities at ransom until the jewelry (and thief!) was delivered to her. Destruction abounds!

It would also be fun if the giantess wasn't very big at all - us sneaky macrophiles would surely do our best to bundle her socks, underwear, etc, into the back of our cars for later use as blankets or sleeping bags. :P

I can probably be more creative and descriptive later on today or so, and could definitely think of more. I really like the unaware or indifferent personality currently, relating specifically to Wendy Fiore and Agnetis (I wish it was easier to get a working torrent for more of her sets). For example, I see Wendy being indifferent as she just plops mile and a half tall self down on Central Park and looks around at the city, thinking thinks like "none of these people matter, look at these little helicopter toys buzzing about, etc". She might reach out and snatch up a building and inspect it before either nonchalantly crushing it in her hand of just letting it slide off.

Now Agnetis -- I always imaging her as absolutely unaware, and about two miles tall, minimum. I see her lazily walking through, lets say the western United States, maybe looking down once. She finally decides to take a load off and slowly starts to lean down. One of her knees completely obliterates part of a mountain range and neighborhood or two. She starts to let herself down even more and the local militia starts firing things at her belly that darkens the sky. No result of course, unnoticed. Then come the massive meteorites called her breasts. As they contact with most of the city, they create shockwaves that knock people off their feet for miles. Finally her head makes contact, destroying the remainder of the city, and she lazily falls asleep.

Ran out of room.

The question of appeal in relation to the scenario used vs. quality of collage is one that interests me a bit. Especially here on 4chan, a lot of people say they hate collages simply because the average quality among the community isn't great. For my own interest, I ran a simple little poll to get some idea for what people find most important in a collage:

http://docop.deviantart.com/journal/poll/5320567/

Interestingly, the quality of the collage is seemingly the least important thing for most people. The scenario being depicted and the choice of the woman are more important (50% and 30% respectively).

It's a very simplistic poll - naturally all three factors will play some intertwined roll for everyone, there are undoubtedly times where a FANTASTIC scenario is ruined by MS paint level collaging, and so forth. But if nothing else, maybe it suggests to us collagers that we should be putting relatively more effort into making sure we're doing something interesting, not just something of pixel-perfect quality? Of course, if you can do both at the same time ... :D

Maybe I'm just pointlessly rambling again. c:

these are really interesting to compare their approach with the posters here or on DA
>>
>>2665794
The huge advantage of a lot of studio shoots is that they have access to the model so the can pose her against pre-selected background images with the correct lighting. This is a HUGE advantage. I've seen a few behind-the-scenes videos from studio photoshoots where they have monitors with overlay images so they can perfectly line the poses up to their desired backdrops. I want.

I can't recall any examples of any collagers in the giantess community doing this. The few who have hired models never seem to bother to collect background images to match against (nor do they usually have much flexibility over lighting anyway), and it's not clear that those who shoot their own background images have any specific model images/poses in mind. The later is certainly the most practical for most of us, though very few seem to bother.

For pretty much all collagers in our community, the quality of the woman/background match is simply down to how long we want to slog through a Google image search.

As for >>2665771's image specifically, it's not the greatest example of a photographer having access to the model to match to a background. Her positioning isn't very great (for her to fit into the background image they had to have her awkwardly popping out of the trees at a height where her feet wouldn't even touch the ground), the lighting does't match at all (she's being lit from the front AND from the side), the woman's shadow on the building isn't super fantastic (seemingly a few passes with a soft brush in multiply mode), and the perspective looks a little bit off (might just be me anomaly hunting at this point though). I remember when this ad campaign first hit, there were a few threads in various design subreddits making fun of the (relatively) shoddy work.

But, hey, it's still nice, I don't mean to be needlessly critical. I certainly like the composition and pose.

Again, I'm just pointlessly rambling. c:
>>
>>2665814
Exactly, yeah. The one that stood out to me was the other female Anchorman poster with a spinning helicopter rotor blade effect that looked like something I gave up on.

One thing to note is that those people who request photogs to get models to do poses get ground level wide angle shots which are really rare on Google - not perfect, but an edge.

Speaking of, anyone good at maths? I'm trying to derive an equation for focal length, subject distance, scale and all that, the thinking being that it'll take some of the guesswork out.
>>
>>2665822
The first reply to the same sort of question here seems to be what you're looking for:

http://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/12434/how-do-i-calculate-the-distance-of-an-object-in-a-photo

distance to object [mm] = (focal length [mm] * object height [mm] * image height [pixels]) / (object height [pixels] * sensor height [mm])

>... the thinking being that it'll take some of the guesswork out.

I guess the key word here is "some" of the guesswork. At the end of the day, you'll still need to do a bit of estimation for the distances and heights, depending on how you're planning on using it.

I used Google Maps to calculate the distance between the camera and the woman (~935m), and I took a look at the image details to find the camera (Olympus FE-110, which has a 4.3mm sensor height) and focal length (6.2mm). Maggie's height in the image is about 1400 pixels, and the image itself is 1920 pixels in height.

Throwing that all in, we find a height of about 473 metres. Those two buildings just to the left of her right leg (her right, our left) are about 110m tall, which is a good sanity check that the calculation looks correct.

So, yay maths. It's the Attack of the Half-Kilometer Maggie!

Also, an extra note, this all depends on the information stored within the image file being accurate. For example, I tried to use the same method on pic related, but it total failed (the calculation put her height at about the same as the real world height of that small black building in front of her, ~100m). I suspect it's because the camera details stored in the file referred to the image of the woman, not the image of the city (the focal length was recorded at 50mm, but with the distortion around the edges, it should have been much smaller).

Guys I've been working on a bunch of really quick collages and watching Lynda tutorials. Haven't got anything to show for it and the tutes were a bit basic but I have one nearly ready. Is anyone posting new stuff?

Nothing new from me at the very moment. I'll probably jump back on the wagon closer to the weekend.

Looks like we've hit bump limit again! I'll start a new thread later today once this one falls closer towards the last page, unless someone beats me to it.
