Well, I'm dumb. I am like a little child wants a nice bedtime story. Serious story topic is one thing, serious story telling is the other. Like Naomi Kawase's Still the Water, I don't understand any of the story at all, but what killing me was the slow development of the movie.
I agree, feeling good is what I enjoy from cinemas. I have seen too much crappy/alternative/weird movies, but at the end I can still say I like some of them. "Bedtime story" is nothing more than a joke term, I meant to say I value story line of a movie much more than other gimmick bullshit stuff.
But, "Like Someone in Love" is still not for me. I watched that in the cinema too like this guy>>2612658, it is not a bad start of a story, but they should put more effort in writing the story. It's kind of... lack of impact I would say.
Anyway, I watched "A Bride for Rip Van Winkle" very recently. That, is a satisfying story(to me). Nice and gentle story development, detail personalities descriptions, some mystery parts in the mid-game for audience to guess about. Slightly "meh" for the ending, but it's all good.
