I saw a picture in one of these threads a long time ago that I really liked but forgot to save. It was a painting of a room full of lecherous men all lusting after this really bored looking woman on the right side of the painting. I don't know much about art so I can't say what time period it was from.

3. it's his and he is wearing the jacket like a cape over his shoulder
i'd entertain the third option, but even though his shirt is white the sleeve makes it hard to tell. the left shoulder and arm of his jacket could also be both empty or filled (by his arm obviously)
