I used to be able to do that stuff, when I was younger, but I stopped because of joint instability. I can only imagine how horrible his day to day life must be. I've stopped contorting myself years ago, and I still have problems with my joints, when I'm going about my day

I didn't need to stretch all that much. I have Hypermobility Syndrome. Pretty much all my joints are double jointed, so it was relatively easy to do contortion at the time.
