Arguably atmoic/nuclear weapons have done more to secure world peace than anything else in human history.

For the first time in Human history, major world powers are forced to cooperate because failure to compromise could end everything.
>>

nothing. doing a stupid action implies the capacity to engage in smart actions. the ability to do so would imply agency.

humans are literal robots in that we follow simple behavioural patterns. humans do what they do. that is all.

World peace is not a necessary or even desirable condition, especially when purchased at this price.

Conventional war never threatened humanity in any meaningful way, because even the most brutal war invariably burns out before the nations participating it can achieve mutual extermination. But nuclear weapons can wipe out whole regions in a single day. Though the likelihood of their use in any given conflict is slim, on a long enough timeline, they will be used eventually, and the destruction they can cause will be far worse than the wars they have prevented in the meantime.

Universal suffrage; the vote needs to be limited to property owners. Also, birthright citizenship. The two combined have consistently rekt democratic countries, when large numbers of impoverished foreigners move in and become a dominant political force within a single generation.

It's already hit America twice, first with the Irish and then with the Mexicans. Now it's happening across Europe with Arabs and Africans.

>>992165
Here's a radical idea: Just because you deny plebs the vote doesn't mean you have to oppress them.

Treat them fairly and protect their individual rights with a strong constitution, but don't give them a voice in government. The people won't rise up as long as the government doesn't try to over-regulate their lives.
>>
>>992174
:^)

>>992205
How are you going to determine who's a proletarian or not? Intelligence? Income? I know plenty of smart poor people and rich people who are complete idiots.

Moreover, if you only let the rich vote the poor will inevitably get screwed over. And since the government consists of only rich voices, the poor won't be protected.
