Why is Communism so easy to break? Communism only lasted for as long as Lenin was alive in the USSR, because after that Stalin came in and turned it into a murder house which after that just became a boogeyman. China is the worst example, they demolished the old culture which the could have easily kept, it was probably due to the impact the second world war had on the citizens and that they wanted something new that the old government didn't. But the Chinese during the Cultural revolution killed a lot of people, most of them were just Tibetan monks and people who didn't agree with Mao, apparent in the amount of people he killed. I've only seen Communism work in places like Laos, where it's still technically a farming based culture. Even Vietnam is that way, the US only invaded due to the USSR's involvement in the revolution. We don't see massive uproars in places like Vietnam compared to China. Why is that so?
>>953966
Because command economies do not give everyone what they need, and therefore there will be scarcity.

>see massive uproars in places like Vietnam
You mean like thousands of Southerners placed in reeducation camps?
Also Vietnam followed China's economic model you know.
>>953967
Need and want btw*, meant to put that as an edit.

Human nature, baby. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Youre right about command economies, but you misunderstand scarcity. Scarcity is always present, in every market, because of finite resources.

Then why make the mistake?
>Communism
Read Marx. The communist manifesto takes like 3 hours to read, then you'll know you're wrong

Why are you a retard, sir. Can you not comprehend my understanding of scarcity?
>>953966
because the economy acts more like a force of nature than a man-made structure.
It functions almost like a farm. You can't demand a farm into growing. You can't reuse the same plants over and over again. You can't invent a new type of plant and make it grow by shooting all the other farmers and demanding they grow the plant that best helps the state.
It requires balance, but most of all, it requires a natural state: sun, water, mud, ect. You don't control the economy. You take care of it.

>Why is Communism so easy to break?
Because it's unfeasible.
>Dude! Worker's & Peasant's Revolution!
>Let's turn this shit around, give people some fucking shoes!
>We're getting a physical opposition from part of the population and they are even getting backed by foreign nations.
>Form an army and beat them back!
>Comrade, people don't know how do we communism. What should we do?
>We need a """""temporary""""" government to manage the resources, until we can fully transition. Plan every little thing. Leave nothing to chance.
>Comrade, the white army has been crushed, but there are still enemies of the revolution in hiding!
>Form a secret police and flush them out. Shoot first, ask later, make some fucking examples!
>This is FUN! I can realize my power fantasies and nobody can stop me! *shoots random dude to the back of the head*
>[Shit gets totally out of control, power tripping revolutionaries massacre people with abandon, Great terror begins]
>[revolution didn't spread to the rest of the world, nation is on its own and other countries give it weird looks and start plotting against it]
>[meanwhile """""temporary""""" government works like shit, changes come too fast and they are half-assed, criminal mismanagement everywhere, famines, largely rural population is herded around like cattle and crammed into cities, which weren't ready to accommodate so many, resulting in infamous """"temporary""""" communal housing, the Commieblocs are born.
>[Great terror continues, blood crazed red officers and corrupt administrators rampage across the country]
>[Father of the revolution dies, mustached Georgian Superman takes his place and starts re-arranging the furniture in the most destructive way possible. State gets even more power and shows no signs of ever letting go,(degenerated worker's state). Stalin decides that the best way to go about stopping people who have been largely just shooting other people for the sake of shooting people is to shoot them(Great Purge).]

I got carried away.
I will try to make the rest short.
Basically, shit didn't work, command economy based on retarded arbitrary production quotas and ever-increasing surplus of shit nobody needs, along with shortages of actually needed goods, in a single country, combined with fierce economic opposition from the outside, is as destructive as it gets. Then the World War Two came around, and USSR somehow ended up on the winning side, with a massive fucking army with nothing to do and a leader who never stopped entertaining the idea of spreading the revolution beyond the borders, by force if needed. Cold War started. USSR had to spend huge chunk of GDP on defense, R&D and prestigious dickwaving like Space Program, all that with a dogshit economy that couldn't compete with its competitors.
From 50's to 90's and beyond, population coped by creating a shadow economy, exchanging goods and favors, according to their actual needs, outside of the official framework. Today it's called corruption, but that was THE actual socialism and it was helluva lot better than what the state cobbled up.
>humans abuse power if they get the chance
>giving a small revolutionary vanguard immunity from the rest of society and carte blanche to remake the economy, law, culture, and religion of a society is an extremely good opportunity to get some power
This isn't rocket surgery.

Vanguard party is a meme. Lenin threw all that shit he wrote out the window and opened the party up when it become obvious the workers were leading the way. The party-state was only formed when popular enthusiasm for the revolution died down.
>>956086
>no real mechanisms in place to prevent political coercion
>no tradition of elected government or rule of law
>party is given absolute power
>EVERYTHING WENT TOTALITARIAN HOW COULD THIS POSSIBLY HAPPEN
People are selfish buttholes that want to further themselves instead of humanity as a whole.
Inb4 "but humanity is races I don't like too so they offer nothing!!!" Kill yourselves.
>>956189
>muh mankind
Power could corrupt any man. Given that communism give the government absolute power
Mostly human nature.
Because it's fucking stupid, goes against everything human.
>>956820
>people still fall for the meme that absolute power corrupts absolutely
History has shown us many, many monarchs and despots that handled their power gracefully.
People tend to forget that democracy is an anomaly that only gained popularity within the last 100 years.
