Why do fundamentalist protestants almost always start to develop conspiracy theories about the pope or other Catholics running the world?
Everyone else just goes with the Jews or Freemasons running things when they actually do hold conspiracy theories.

Because fundamentalist prots love nothing more than sucking Jew cock and unconditionally supporting Israel because 'muh chosun peepul'
Because according to extreme Protestants the Catholic Church is the devils church and so have unlimited power but no souls, and thus could run everything and nothing at the same time
But it's probably for the same reason why Jews are blamed for problems, Jesuit education made small sects of Catholics smart these people then rise to high places, they teach their children and reccomened them so they get in high places,
Also same thing with racism when you complain about a majority it's fine
