Only reddit memesters think Tesla was a superior inventor to Edison, Tesla was an autistic lunatic with no sense of business who only got lucky once and then went into obscurity, broke and crazy. It was not only until fucking cracked.com ran a meme piece of article about him that online autists began worshiping him.
that's nice, honey
Congratulations, you're even more contrarian than most STEMfag teenagers
Want a medal?

And Edison was a business man who took individual credit for the work of hundreds

Tesla discovered perpetual energy. This would have saved the human race and brought about a humanistic utopia a hundred years ago. Instead we got cronies like Edison and Rockefeller who conspired to bury Tesla's work so they can continue the capitalistic notion of exponential consumerism and a guaranteed market for oil and gas.

>liking Edison
>contrarian
fuck off back to the oatmeal/rebbit
>>926150
That would make him a great employer, not a great inventor, you fucking idiot.
How do you even breathe and think at the same time?

Alternating current
I actually got on that shit when the Museum of Unnatural History mentioned him back in 2002.
Get fucking good nigger.
>claim Edison was the superior inventor
>proceeds to argue Edison was the better businessmen
In other news oranges are the superior apple because they are oranges.

Except Edison literally advocated for solar energy, you dolt, while all Tesla achieved was the centralization of power and state run monopoly on distribution.
Fucking solar power is DC and has to be converted to AC because of state regulated memes.
>>926168
Edison was the better inventor too. He thought up many devices before he even had employees and knew how to monopolize on them to invent more. Tesla lost all the money bankers threw at him and literally stopped inventing anything after a few strike of genius. He didn't even invent AC, just worked on what other Europeans had already done while Edison did invent DC.
In modern times Edison has been vindicated since digital technologies literally run on DC and solar power is made more viable by advancements in battery life which is all DC.
Nikola Tesla's a pretty good litmus test.
If somebody is raving on and on about about great Tesla was, he's probably a pseudoscience crank.
>>926244
>Proceeds to argue that he is a better businessman even further.
Edison is quintessentially American, he's like a
Gilded Age Ben Franklin. Anyone who prefers Tesla is an anti-American butthurt pleb.
>>926289
You need money to invent, don't you? otherwise you're just really a theoretician not an inventor, topkek.
>>926130

Electrical engineer here.
Solar energy is a scam and DC is converted to AC because transformers are cheaper than all that HVDC energoelectronics you'd need for efficient DC transmission. That being said, when transmitting energy at high distances HVDC is more economical than HVAC and that's why we do have some DC lines as well.

>Guess what, commie? When you're employed by someone else the company takes all the intellectual credit.
holy shit, I hope you're kidding
cracked is responsible for so much retarded internet contrarian history memefaggotry.

>Solar energy is a scam
why

>It was not only until fucking cracked.com ran a meme piece of article about him that online autists began worshiping him.
Nope. He was popular way before Cracked's website was even popular. Shit, I remember seeing stuff about him all over the place in the late 90s. Most of it was wacky conspiracy shit about things he was supposed to have invented, but he was still a popular figure, and he still represented the whole "underdog genius held down by big corporations" narrative.
Cracked probably did a good thing by making his actual accomplishments known, and taking him out of the realm of fringe shit.
Except Tesla was properly ripped off of Nobel Prize and the american patent bureau rectified their mistake of assigning the radio to Marconi, later. On the other hand, Edison didn't even invent the lightbulb.

Unit of measurement of the strength of the magnetic field in SI is named in honor of Tesla.
So he will be remembered while science exists.
>>926244
Hi, yes everyone knows that neither tesla or eddison are Maxwell. But Eddison is even more irrelevent than Tesla becuase at least Tesla could do his own maths :^).
>Edison
>inventor
I bet you also think that Sam Harris is an intellectual.
