Rousseau's philosophy is unworkable, utopian, and idealistic. Hobbes was a man of science.

Hes not really that good, but for the information he had access to and his time period hes alright the state of nature he refers to literally has no basis in fact and seems to just be a product of his experiances with the civil war.
Likewise his beliefs on on how society began to organise is highly idealistic and not really supported by what we now know.
