charles manson was a crucial reason for it ending. hippies where basically new age liberals. they still exist today but they are on the internet instead of on the streets.

Nah man, Vincent Bugliosi was.
Manson is a strawman, it's the Manson of the media that ended the hippie generation.

>what ended?
Most people grew up. Being a filthy drug user that pretends to be an open-minded political activist while discussing retarded shit on drugs is a poor life to live.

>what did it achieve?
This. Easy rider. That's about it.

the slow downfall of western civilization

Reality. Degeneracy is not a good life strategy in the long run.

>What did it achieve?

Good music.

The hippie generation got ended in waves.

First in the 80's when the dreamy politics of the 60 got confronted with real issue's like war and the economy. The hippie-movement and socialist movement had no answers thus the world turned to liberalism and conservatism.

I also think the collapse of the Sovjet Union was essential, since it proved the bankruptcy of the socialist ideal that the hippie-movement embraced. Capitalism had won.

it's still alive behind prison bars somewhere.

most people probably just became old and decadent. those who were still active turned to more specialized areas like gay rights, protecting nature or legalizing drugs.

since hippies are hedonistic, they were killed by the lassitude that followed the exoticism of ''their new societies'' and the asian religions.

a future generation of old liberals

Hippies are great

Hippies produced a bunch of old hippocrites that were all free love and drugs man

But when the 80s rolled around they'd have people locked up for weed.

They also couldn't raise children. Every adult raised by hippies I know is a drug addict. You can't be that free with teenagers
