Is Organon a good starting point for learning logic?

The history of logic: yes
Logic in general: no
Even Aristotle says that there are bound to be some issues with his logical works since he was the first person to ever try to develop a formal theory of logic. You are better off starting with modern symbolic logic first and then move on to what ever you like. I'm not saying this to knock Aristotle, the way he conceives of logic is incredibly clever and the Organon is something you eventually need to read through.

What do you recommend ?
Preferably something that I can find translated ( in Italian, specifically ) .
Graham Priest's books are pretty decent.

What do you mean?
I once took up an intro logic class, it was interesting but the knowledge just didn't stick and I forgot it all since. When do you ever need that?
