Think about it. Back in the old times of pre-agricultural society, what exactly were we supposed to do? Gather berries or kill things for food. The only fun we had was watching Ooga screw Booga for the thirtieth time or kill the other tribe and take their shit.
After agriculture became a thing, we could farm instead. And since we didn't have to fight to get food, we could devote time to other shit, too. After that, we only really killed each other if we had intense personal reasons, or because we were at war (which is basically just a larger scale version of fucking with the other tribe).
We always wanted distractions (or, more positively, passions), but back then shit was way harder to find.
The only significant physiological different during the past thousand years would be some immunity or better resistance to a couple of illnesses. If you go a bit further there's also more alcohol, lactose and gluten tolerance that we gained since the paleolithic. Other than that we're pretty much the same.
Also, 1000 years is nothing in terms of evolution. Especially not with big animals with long generations, such as ourselves. There would have to be some serious selective pressure around in order to make any significant difference.
