If you take your facts from either of those you're a retard. Just read primary sources, and if you can't get yours hands on those read secondary sources from accredited historians. Avoid pop-history at all costs. Pop history isn't history in any way, it is just dumbed down shit designed to provide a flimsy historical pretext for whatever agenda the author is trying to push on retarded common people who have neither the intelligence nor patience to read actual historical texts.

You are beyond saving in terms of retardation

Horrible Histories 2bh
This board exposed me to little niche stuff that other places would have not have regarded as important (i.e. funny medieval illustrations, Pompeii graffiti, and Diogenes quotes). Being exposed to all of these things gave me the startling realization that the only real difference between people now and other periods of history are the tools we have.
People drew toilet humor drawings in holy manuscripts. People shitposted on ancient Italian walls. Some people lived as massive edgelords and fucked with regular members of society.
Nothing has changed, and it's kind of enlightening.
What Wikipedia article should I read right now?

Both are useful for getting ideas on a topic, but for actual knowledge, primary and secondary sources are the best.
