>The Japanese win the battle of midway, how does the pacific theatre unfold?

>Theodosius doesn't die in the battle of Frigidus and Alaric still defects. Is Rome still sacked?

>The French send 3,000 riflemen to reinforce the shogunate at the battle of edo in 1868

>Iraq decides to not chlorine bomb kurds or invade kuwait and fabricates claims to persain clay

What happens in each war?

>>The Japanese win the battle of midway, how does the pacific theatre unfold?
the industrial output of the united states remains unchanged, meaning they churn out planes and boats at a rate that cannot be countered by japan by any means, and japan is defeated a few months later

You mean japanese diplomacy with South America?
>>
>>383362
Yeah.
>>
>US efforts in the Pacific are delayed. Japan gets invaded by the Soviet Union and partitioned.
>>
>>383342
War isn't an RTS, anon. How would they even supply any venture to the Americas for longer than a week? They could barely keep Guadalcanal supplied.
>>
>>383369
>the soviet riflemen walk across the ocean, eventually swarming battle cruisers with their many mosin nagats

soviets were given transport ships by the US and even employed some of them on a few occasions (not particularly successfully but still)

>>383383
>The soviets ram their lander craft into Japanese battlecruisers, the red tide unscathed

To achieve what?
>>
>>383414
Slowing down of ships produced on the east coast

How?

Not trading with the U.S. (god I wish we just chose a name for our country), trading with Japan, giving recon and ship movement intelligence to Japan.
>>
>>383424
You really think Japan could sway S. American countries out of US sphere of influence and that those countries were able to spy ship movement from across the hemisphere?
>>
>>383402
japan had one (1) capital ship remaining by the time of the soviet attacks
>>
>>383424

U.S. trade with South America was minimal, and I'm not sure what the hell the Japanese could offer places like Brazil or Veneuzela to induce them to stop getting American money.

As for trading with Japan, how the hell are you going to ship anything from South America back to Japan without it getting sunk by the U.S. navy? You know how much trouble the British had in the Atlantic? The U.S. is way stronger vis a vis Japan, even at their weakest, than Germany ever was vis a vis Britain.

>giving recon and ship movement intelligence to Japan.

How would they even know? You think fleet admirals dropped by the Chilean and Argentinian consulates to discuss latest fleet maneuvers?

Not to mention Brazil severed diplomatic relations with the axis in January 1942, entering the war later.
>>
>>383337
This. The only way the Japanese could possibly win is if they had pulled a Vietnam and made the American public so disgusted with war that they wanted out. They were starting to get on that track with Iwo Jima and Okinawa, but by then it was too late. Had Operation Downfall proceeded, it would have been interesting to see how long the American public would hold out. Though I think even if we were losing over a million, we wouldn't pull out so close to the end since we were invading the Japanese mainland. Plus the American public was a lot more brainwashed by the government than it was during the 1960s.
>>
>>383437
Yeah because they were in a naval war that entire time. If the Japanese succeeded in all the meme proposals I had they would have more than one (1) capital ships.

>>383433
>across the hemisphere
With the guada canal bombed and california "plague bombed" (this is what you should be questioning), U.S. navy would have to move across south america. to reach the pacific.

>>383445
They would have be like "lol we won midway, we are invincible.", south america would have to buy it.

Radio communications existed IIRC.

holy shit ahahaha

>>

The way they went "lel we won the Phillipenes, we are invincible" and "lel, we won Coral Sea, we are invincible", which totally didn't manage to sway the South Americans?

Btw, is there a reason you're calling the Panama Canal the "Guada" canal? And you know they can fix it even if the Japanese bomb it, right?

Those weren't against the United States.

>Those weren't against the United States.

Yes they were you fucking imbecile. The Phillipines was an American colony, and its defense was commanded by Douglas MacArthur. Coral sea saw the loss of the Lexington, one of their best carriers.

Are you mistaking the Panama Canal with the island of Guadalcanal?
>>
>>383695

I think he thinks the Panama canal was made of cheese.

After all, how else are 40-150 or so tiny carrier bombers going to put it out of action for more than a few days?
