Not really. Maybe a large-scale communist rebellion at some point before the end of WWII, but that's about it. After the Civil War, Yankee America was too stable to fail.
Before the Civil War the biggest threat was the War of 1812. If the British had waged war in earnest on America, they'd have probably devastated them and Tecumseh would have gotten his Aboriginal Nation around the contemporary American Great Lakes States. There was also the possibility that either Texas or California would have never joined. California could have even been a rival against America expanding to the Pacific, although that's an incredibly unlikely scenario.
