I and most other people got the impression from our primary school education that the Greeks were the bee's knees and the Mongols were just a bunch of barbarians. Though in many ways true, flipping those perceptions upside down helps average joes watching the video series view history more complexly.
They hear the Greeks were good then they hear the Greeks were bad. They know both can't be true so they find a middle ground closer to the actual truth.
