Does India just have no pride? Their entire history is them just being the bitch of some stronger nation and getting utterly BTFO in battles. Why are they so easy to invade and conquer time and time again? Pic related.

Why does everyone ignore that the kingdom of cochin won too, they were literally the rulers of the kingdom and zamorin was just a meme guy anyway who claimed the kingdom but wasn't actually in control of it.

Looks like exageration

>each soldier killed 19 enemies
Did they not have weapons or something?

The Indians were on boats so they didn't know where to shit. Cholera must have spread like wildfire

In a subsequent naval engagement the Ottoman empire, mamluk sultanate and the Italian city states (Yes they financed the former two) send a fleet of galleys to the India ocean to beat the Portuguese to protect their trade interests, they lost that one too.

They were in a little strait so the Indian boats could only advance a few at a time and as they kept sinking debris prevented them from manoeuvring properly. Their tactics were shit aswell, they kept trying to board the portuguese ships but they didn't even get close to them. Later they tried building big platforms to put them on the same height as the Portuguese but they still got rekt because the portuguese found out about all of their tactics beforehand through an effective spy network. That's without even mentioning the army attacks.

Same deal with all ancient civilizations. India, Egypt, Greece, China, etc. The second half of their history is getting conquered and ruled by foreigners all the time.
