Because he's an asshole.
Look at what they and the other Abrahamic religions agree on: the Pentateuch. Everyone who's smart in all those denominations knows being a ben noach is what's right. Worship hashem, follow the laws he gave to Adam (and Noah), and you're spiritually set.
