Charles V was the most powerful European monarch since Charlemagne. He was Holy Roman Emperor, Archduke of Austria, King of Spain, Duke of Burgundy (which included Belgium and Netherlands), King of Sicily, King of Naples, Duke of Milan. His younger brother was King of Bohemia and Hungary.
