You cannot really "be" (as in how you are, not what you do) or "become" eurocentric or non eurocentric. You act in an eurocentric way, or avoid it.
There's literally nothing wrong with being eurocentric when studying europe, to be honest. But you really should try to study other places, if you're curious about european history you should be curious abouth those too.

Study what interests you, but be aware of other cultures. If you're studying "human progress", by nature you're going to be looking a lot at Europe. If you define that by philosophy, however, there's a lot worth looking into for Eastern Philosophy. If you're a mythology type, there's some interesting beliefs around the entire world. Just don't shut yourself off to the world outside of Europe and your interest should follow naturally.

It's hard to be entirely eurocentric when studying even just European history. Asia's and Northern Africa's histories are intertwined with it, even if it may not appear obvious at first.
