Why do so many people think badly of Stalin while the only reason they exist or are not slaves is because of Stalin defeating Hitler
Stalin did nothing wrong and people are ignorant of one of the most important victories in history
>>
So i guess if a mass murderer inadvertently allowed me to be born i should love him?
>>
>>1421116
you should love him as much as you love yourself since he did have huge impact on you
>>
>>1421101
>implying that defeating hitler was a good thing
>>
>>1421101
Because unlike Western rulers, Stalin lacked the decency to only massacre and oppress people in the Third World
>>
>>1421101
It's largely Cold War propaganda but c'mon man, Stalin was a pretty bad dude. He had people killed for petty mistakes or flimsy charges of insurrection.

While Stalin did a lot of amazing things for millions of people, his style of rule was pretty unforgivable. In addition, a lot of shittiness was lumped on Ukraine during his rule.

excuse me, as a north american, I was definitely never going to be a slave under hitler.
i don't owe some crazy gommie shitter anything

But Hitler was still better.

Both Stalin and Hitler are too similar to me.

I can't help but see all the glaring similarities between National Bolshevism and National Socialism.

Top lel, maybe in the last 3 years but before that Hitler need the industry and teamed up with them. This is what upset Röhm.

Some poet wrote a poem praising Stalin and he got literally imprisoned just because the poem was written in Ukrainian. You can't make this shit up.

It was the great Russian proletariat that defeated Hitler, not any individual.

Meh, like all commied leaders, Stalin was certainly not the main brain behind the societ victory and just a face to wank off to as a citizen.
He sure as fuck was a whiny cunt like all commie leaders though and fucked up everyone whose sneeze sounded the wrong way.

Why is /his/ full of personal cult idiots?
>>
>>1421230
>maybe in the last 3 years

No, you got it the wrong way around. Hitler privatized certain industries to fix the Great Depression, but after that he asserted control again and created a war economy.
>>
>le stalin won ww2 and did nothing wrong

Gosh, who let all these /b/ kiddies in.
>>
>>1421230
The only difference is that under Hitler the industry had to be subservient to the state while remaining technically private while under Stalin it was outright owned by the state. Huge companies like Krupp or IG Farben would be quickly quashed if they collaborated with the enemy.
>>
>>1421236
That's a very good comeback.

I'm going to remember that one.

Are you an idiot? Watch Save Private Ryan, it's American people and democracy defeated Hitler.
USSR literally just sate on its ass and consumed aid from U S and A
>>
>>1421101
But if Hitler hadn't massacred Soviets en masse, I wouldn't exist either.
>>
>>1421101
I believe in dictatorship of the proletariat, not dictatorship of a secretary. He highlights how any revolutionary movement can be derailed, although this is completely precedented with democratic revolutions as well ultimately setting up autocratic rule.

That being said, I don't think he did a bad job forging and ruling an empire. He started off in a shittier place than America and America was left unravaged by war whereas Russia took the brunt of it, and his empire still managed to stand toe to toe with America after his death.
>>
>>1421272
P.S. God bless America! USA! USA! USA!

But that's what the US wanted, the rights of representation and degree of democracy found on the British Isles.

>Revolucucks spend a few years purging each other only to see Napoleon piggyback the revolution and become a literal emperor and reinstall the monarchy, the very thing the revolution tried to overthrow.
There was more than one revolution. They're on their 5th Republic now. And when that fails, they'll try again with a 6th. They'll get it right eventually.

>Revolutionaries get purged to all fuck by a literal bandit who installs a regime far more autocratic than Tzar's.
This is why I don't like him, and he pretty much tried to stick his fingers in every other "people's" revolution to bring them under his sphere of influence.

It's pretty established right now that:

1. Hitler would very possibly back down from invading Poland if Stalin didn't greenlight it for him with the secret protocol of the R-M pact.
2. Soviet invasion shortened the war with Poland for a month at the shortest, half of year in the more realistic scenario. Germans by 17th of September were running out of fuel, tanks and ammo and needed to stop their advance and resupply. Moreover, Poland was retreating into Southeast where a Last Redoubt was planned which could have lasted for several months.

>>
I think Stalin may be one of the most morally despicable human beings in the world for a few reasons, prime among them being his understanding of human suffering.

The famous quote "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic" comes to mind. At first glance it appears he's saying that the millions of deaths mean nothing to him, but it is in fact much more malicious than that if you look at it in light of the mans policies.

It is often said that nobody in the Soviet Union didn't know someone who was taken. By spreading out the terror among the entire population, Stalin made each and every death a hurtful tragedy. The man used his understanding of human suffering to brutally beat down the people and hurt them to the extent that there would never be a populist rebellion. It was a masterstroke of cruelty, and he perfectly understood what he was doing.
