He is a fearsome intellect, but wrong about most things. The lasting stuff is rights, but he's too autistic. You have to read him though, just to understand his influence on others.

Like the other people said in this thread, he is pretty autistic and you have to be a little autistic to understand him fully. But you should at least try to read the Critique of Pure Reason to get the gist of his ideas because he is extremely influential.
