After reading the Motorcycle Diaries, I realized he did nothing wrong.

I'm not the poster of that. But from what I remember the racism accusations come from some of his early writings. I want to say The Motorcycle Diaries. But by the end of his life it was pretty clear that he'd changed his mind on that because he was aiding rebels in the Congo or something like that.
