Song Dynasty pre-Mongolian rapefest was probably comfier to live in with more advanced arts and sciences. Tang Dynasty was just classic China, the pre-eminent power of its region with a rich culture but wracked by terrible internal conflict. With the Song, a more ideal society was strived for albeit it was not without its problems.
