Without humans, there is no concept of morality. If there are no humans, nothing can be properly evaluated to be moral or immoral. Thus, morality is in totality tied to humanity, be it by being a construction made by humans or some other way.
Do you agree with these sentiments? Why or why not?

Congrats, you've managed to touch upon what a spook is.
If you're having such thoughts there's a man named Stirner who you might like to read.
What about aliens?
Without dat boi, there is no concept of morality. If there are no bois, nothing can be properly evaluated to be moral or immoral. Thus, morality is in totality tied to dat boi, be it by being a construction made by dat boi or some other way.

what's a spook?
>>1219143
Kind of like what you're touching on.
A manmade abstraction.
>>1219139
You'd have to ask yourself, how likely is it that aliens would be similar enough to us to have a concept of morality?
WOW LANGUAGE IS MANMADE, MORE AT 12
It's impossible to say if some kind of animal has a notion of morality or not. Even if moral is a human feature only, it is totally relative therefore a construct.
Ethic is something else and may be universal.
Sure morality is socially constructed in some way.
But so is mathematics and language, and it doesn't make them any less real.
>>1219156
What's the difference between morals and ethics?
>>1219140
There's a common agreement that you're posting a forced meme.
>>1219170
Ethics is just the philosophical investigation of morality.
>>1219134
How fucking underage/stupid do you have to be to think this is even remotely worth talking about or profound?
>>1219256
The fact that there are schools of thought talking about it, asswipe. Now answer the question and contribute or fuck off.
>>1219295
There's nothing to talk about, of course its a manmade concept, you pseudo intellectual twat. Navel gazing morons like you are why humanities are laughed at by so many academics.
>>1219307
No morons like you who think surface level knowledge being sufficient and never challenging yourself or thinking more deeply is why.
>>1219134
>Babbies first moral relativism
Delete this shit.
>>1219314
>I want to talk in circles about a simple concept because mental masturbation is easier than tackling anything wih actual depth
Please read a book or something.

So, there are no other sentients but humans. Kwel brory, sto.
>inb4 noe pruf
>>1219163
Yes. I never understood why "morality is socially constructed" = moral nihilism. By the same logic "language is socially constructed" = linguistic nihilism.
>>1219419
No, why? Is that some kike meme or something?

If they are carbon based lifeforms with a similar evolutionary path, very likely.
Big "if" mind ye, but the basis for nearly everything we refer to as morality is part of the pack mentality shared by nearly every pack, herd, and tribal mammal on the planet. Empathy and compassion, obedience and hierarchy, are all a matter of survival for such life forms. Like nearly everything else, we just made it a whole lot more complicated.
