Are there any books that analyse and explain the nazi's beliefs in occultism?
I've heard of Kenneth Hite's book, but I'm not sure if I trust an video game writer to teach me history

I read an interesting book by Heather Pringle about Heinrich Himmler's research into ancient aryan archaaeology, not sure what the book is called in English though. Himmler was definitely more into the occult shit than any other major nazi leader. Wewelsburg rituals, SS Officers being taught meditation techniques, expeditions to Tibet to find the origins of the Aryans, etc.
Otto Rahn's books on the Cathars are easily found in English, with decent introductions.
The Occult Roots of Nazism by Goodrick-Clarke is referenced a lot, but I havent read it myself.
Nazi occultism isnt a coherent system of thought though, it ranges from 19th century rune-magic inspired by Theosophy to anti-papal cathar-inspired gnosticism to Hinduism to attempts at discovering a proto-Indo-European "ur-religion" to ancient aliens and Vril powers.

Never read anything about that, so I highly doubt it. Sounds more like something the Soviets would make up as part of their propaganda.
Homosexuality was, as we know, not accepted by the Nazi party. Some party members were pretty open about being gay, like Röhm and Otto Rahn, but they weren't allowed to go public or promote it. Sex in the Third Reich is a whole different topic though, and probably of more interest to Goebbels than Himmler.

This isn't too odd though, meditation could be used to make peace with their actions, to fortify their mind against horrors they would have to commit and other quite useful things. Most good martial art schools teach you some basic meditation techniques.
