Red-pill on Hegel. Is he good from a right-wing perspective? I've heard everything from he was a liberal atheist to he was an ultra-conservative christian monarchist to his philosophy made no sense so anyone can interpret it as he likes.

>he was a liberal atheist to he was an ultra-conservative christian monarchist
He was both, but probably more of the latter.
He said Christianity was the best religion because it had the best combination of Finite and Infinite, where other religions have too much of either.
But then he said Christianity would be supplanted by "Philosophy" and he specifically means his own philosophy.
> Is he good from a right-wing perspective?
Probably not. If you can separate him from Marx then maybe. He did think 19th century Prussia was the ideal combo of personal and public, so maybe you could use him if you're into monarchism.

He is the philosopher of nationalism and the Nation-State. As you know, initially nationalism was liberal and romanticist before the turn to reactionary-romanticist.
