What did Europe do after WWII to ensure peace?
The creation of the UN for one. The establishment of a global forum for airing diplomatic disputes. While it was gimped to a considerable degree with the aspect of an unconditional VETO for all members of the Security Counsel, it was the only way that both the US senate and the USSR would agree to participate.
The establishment of collective security agreements to dissuade aggression. NATO for the west. The Warsaw Pact for the East.
The vigilant preparedness for war is another. Maintaining large peace-time forces and amassing vast stockpiles of nuclear weapons. As well as the establishment of air-fields and military bases all over the world for rapid deployment of force wherever it may be deemed needed.

>Europe
>Bases and airfields all over the World
You mean the US.
Europe was busy getting kicked the fuck out of their colonies.

Fair enough.
My post was more about the facets of the established post-WW2 international order that has maintained the peace in Europe rather than what EUROPEANS did specifically.
Since when you get down to it the peace in Europe was maintained in large part by the active policy of the US. What "Europe" did to maintain the peace is a silly question because it ignores arguably the most substantial variable in the equation.

become either capitalistic puppet states for america or communistic puppet states for the soviets
the ECSC and doing your own homework

>capitalistic puppet states for america
>here's billions of dollars to rebuild your ruined countries
>we encourage you to have free and open elections
>we want you to share our values of Freedom of Speech, Religion and press
>we will help you in every way to provide your people with a generous standard of living so they will reject the call of communism
>we will also pledge to protect you from the possibility of hostile aggression that is near your borders
>communistic puppet states for the soviets
>purging entire governments
>outlawing all political parties except for one
>making MILLIONS of citizens disappear for so much as registering their dissatisfaction
>outlawing free press
>clamping down on the free practice of religion
>in all instances putting up authoritarian regimes over an unwilling populace
>>1109504
>implying america wouldn't have purged our goverments if we weren't good goys electing corporate whores
There where plans in the CIA on assasinating De Gaulle
>>1109512
>good goys electing corporate whores
France literally elected a socialist government that included Communist ministers in 1946.
>There where plans in the CIA on assasinating De Gaulle
There were plans drawn up by US commanders about a war with Britain in the interwar years. It's not even an admission of intent.
>you will never get killed while storming the beaches of normandy
>you will never ride with the 3rd army through france
>you will never gun down hundreds of japs while a machine gun barrel cooks your hand

A shill for what?
I'm open to your interpretation of events provided you can muster your thoughts into a non-meme response. The facts of the matter don't seem to support your overly cynical appraisal.
