Put aside any issue you have with the feasibility or the wanton crimes against humanity.
Are there any leading communists you grudgingly respect or admire?
I respect that Castro lead about a dozen men onto an island and managed to overthrow an american backed dictatorship.
Zizek is the only respectable communist.

Tito, because it was only through his sheer force of will that the Baltic countries stayed together and prospered.
Also telling Stalin to fuck off and go a third way.

Blah, BALKANs

Stalin turned Russia from a backwater rural country to an industrial powerhouse that defeated the German War machine. He was brutal but Russia needed brutal.

This. If only he had a good successor, UGOslav might actually end up best socialists, I mean communists.
>I respect that Castro lead about a dozen men onto an island and managed to overthrow an american backed dictatorship.
Castro was not a communist during that time, he only affiliated with the Soviets later on out of necessity created by the American embargo. He was basically a third positionist / fascist significantly influenced by populist politician Eduardo Chibas.
Immidiately after the revolution, the Communist Party of Cuba even sent memos to the USSR saying that Castro might be a CIA agent.
I can overlook Stalin's atrocities and respect him.

I respect Che because he was very handsome (no homo) and because he was brave and idealistic to a fault.

this
People like Tito are one of a kind. Benevolent dictatorship can have the most tremendous effect on a country (or a union of countries in yugoslavia's case) but all that has been built is destroyed when the architect and visionary dies, with nearly no historical exceptions.

Stalin was a badass motherfucker. He BTFO the Jews and sent homosexuals and other decadent degenerates into the gulags. Truly a traitor to the revolution, and this was a good thing.

I wonder what these guys are saying to each other in this picture. "Damnit Mao, I told you not to bring Egg Drop soup, I hate this shit" 'Well, Stalin sure likes it. Something about cracking eggs always gets him'.
I respect Mao for refusing to be cucked by Khrushchev. I respect Deng for dealing with the mess left by Mao & co.

Thomas Sankara for not being corrupted by power. Too bad he was betrayed by compaore.
Pretty much all the commie military leaders that waged insurgencies and won. It takes a pair of brass balls to do something like that.

All of them, m8.
Communism is the big dogs biscuit.

I respect Mao for toughing it out in the long march and for some of his earlier decisions that brought about better hygiene and womens rights.
That's about it.

>toughing it out in the long march.
>literally carried the whole way.
