I am looking for books/whathaveyou on these topics, particularly with regards to the common man's views on the war, Canada's identity and their social activities.

Would also like to hear views on race and national security if that doesn't sound too /pol/.

"Turvey" by Earle Birney (WW2 vet who later became known for his poetry).
