Gather primary sources related to your topic for reference
Gather a small core of authoritative books vaguely related to your subject to quickly explain common theories or vague concepts necessary for your argument
Gather a lot of small papers published in academic journals that detail specific elements of your argument and combine them in a way that supports your reading of excerpts from your primary texts.
