morality is a tool to make sure people obey laws and societal function. morality stems from laws, so it is dependent on them. early morality was based in religious ideas because laws could not be enforced to a high degree often. modern religion is the result of modernization of early religious ideas, and religious morality is based on modern religion nowadays.

I've heard this stated a lot of times. It reminds me of people saying social constructs aren't real. Where do this stupidity stems from? Is there a youtube video circulating I don't know of?

It exists for sure, and there are senses in which it could be said accurately that it is "constructed" but I don't know what you mean by artificial.

Whether we judge something to be right or wrong is the result of social conditioning.

The fact that we have a tendency to judge things as right or wrong, in relation to our emotional reaction to them, is a universal part of being human.

Morality is a construct in the sense that it's our way of defining and solidifying the forces that guide our actions - in other words, it's a layer of abstraction over our biological instincts as a species.
