Just a heads up, I've already got a working prototype for fixing the UI in JavaScript. It's just been put on hold for a while, as I've been cleaning up the text translation plugin. I wanted to factor out the parts of the text translation plugin that hook TyranoScript into a separate framework so that the UI plugin can use them too. But there's a lot more work to be done on the text translation plugin (e.g. splitting it into modules, adding a config file, adding some comments, etc.), so that's the reason for the delay on the UI plugin.

Do you have the tlkit? There should be a macro called "Empty color button". Use that one with button.psd to make a template, then use "Finish color button" to size, stroke, and save it after you've changed the color.
I didn't make a macro for the text color buttons, for those you can use "Fit color button to text size" after editing the text and then follow the steps from one of the "Make X button" macros.
It's better to use the macros than a ready-made template, because the macros rasterize the image at a higher resolution before downsizing, which keeps the lines looking crisp.

Okay, now I see what you mean. This is rather troublesome. The only truly unique identifier for a button is its line number in the .ks file. But if we used that, every update would break half the buttons. Buttons could be given a unique name to identify them, but that would require some cooperation from Ray. So the way I see it, the best thing to do is to just put tooltips on the buttons until the final release, when we can rely on line numbers (assuming no one decides to mod the game).

I just installed (de-zip'd) the program and then copy-pasted the "data" folder of the patch v4 into it. Here's a screenshot of the broken UI after doing that. No buttons are displayed, and Sylvie appears with no clothes loaded.
I also tried just replacing the two translation files and the program works. This means that it's likely that one of the scenario files is breaking the program for me.
