Those artists aren't great if you ask me and they want me to pay to see their art.
If someone wants to make money from drawing thats not how you go about it. Decent artists work on commissions. They don't need to hide their work behind a paywall.

A way I've been seeing some current artists work with patron is like this:
You sign up for paetron, you get early access to their works.
You can vote on new ideas or even suggest ideas if your donation level is high enough.
Access to ALL their works with less obtrusive watermarks.
Non patrons can access their works, but usually after X number of days have passed, and they won't have all their stuff up at the same time for general access.
But paetron artists who put ALL their works behind the paywall are just ASKING to have their stuff ripped off and posted.
It's also getting to the point where EVERY damn artist, no matter their quality level, is going paywall.
