Basically, those rollers are pulling paper tight while applying large amounts of pressure to smooth the paper out before it goes on another roll. Now there is a question I have rattling around in my head.
The rollers on the machines I worked on in high school had I want to say 3000psi between them, and they didnt move up and down. That would have caused the guy to literally explode backwards as he was pulled through. Since he makes it through without becoming a smear mark on the paper it makes me wonder 1 of 2 things. either this company doesnt run much pressure on their rollers (leading to shitty paper) or that machine is actually broke and allowed the top roller to move out of the way (which would lead to even shitter paper.
At the end of it all though he couldnt possibly survive as at the other end of this machine are a series of 8 more rollers and an extremely large heavy blade that sheers the paper to length. Hopefully he was dead the second his head hit that first roller and he didnt live long enough to be torn into pieces by the other end of the machine
