I've only been using SFM for 6 weeks, so I'm probably stating the obvious.
Look closely at the curves in motion and graph editor. When you alter intensity and tonemapscale, you can introduce a discontinuity glitch. SFM is pretty dodgy when you blade in a new shot. I bladed a shot a few days ago and a model simply transported to infinity.
Sometimes SFM doesn't even follow the curves when it renders. Sometimes with jiggle bones and models that change shape dramatically, you simply have to throw away the beginning of a shot and merge things outside of SFM.
My stuff is a bit less romantic than yours.

SFM vet here. The reason that you get flashes on camera shifts (assuming you bladed a shot) is because you are using volumentric lighting.
The problem exists because anything in SFM that is using sliders defaults to the maximum settings at the start of every shot for one frame.
Its why models with bodymorphs shrink/grow if you have changed anything in the shot and its why volumentric lights flash.
You can remedy this by sliding the animation for you shot to start 1 frame into the shot and then slice that frame out in an editor like premier or whatever. Or you can choose NOT to use volumetric lights which has its own drawbacks.
SFM does just some weird arbitrary shit but that's just the way it is

What's a good program to loop webms with? I know MPC does a decent job, but that's my usual video player so I don't want to set it to always loop videos. VLC can loop, but there's always a jump like it's missing the first or last few milliseconds, fucking up perfect loops.
