how would you guys go about fixing / replicating this beard correctly?
i'm having some trouble, it's been a while since i've used Illustrator this much. the straight lines look really awkward to me but i can't make every beard strand thick.
left is the original sticker, it's really destroyed / faded so it's kinda hard to see everything.

photoshop - color range (save each one separately)
illustrator - image trace (manually adjust each)
you could ask on /wsr/ for someone to do it for you.

i was doing a little illustrator tracing, but the original photo is so old that it's a little hard to see where one strand ends and the other begins.
as for the color range, im not trying to replicate the rust i'm removing it
& i'd rather finish it up myself, dont want to get dependent on others for help
OP here, another question if anyone cares:
how can one get single strokes to have pointed edges? if you see the chin in my pic, i tried making a fully completed stroke and it just squared off on the ends.

illustrator brushes palette or expand strokes and manually change each bezier point.

Select all strokes you want to have pointed ends. Then select the according option in the stroke menu.
