How does /gd/ find work?

I've gotten a few jobs from people requesting stuff here, believe it or not. Nothing too major, but there's some decent pocket change to be made if you look around with an open mind.

If you've done the networking right, then work will come to you.

All of my work comes through recommendations, I'm very lucky in that I don't have to look for work very often.

You need to make connections, and you need to keep those connections healthy. If you do that, then they will come to you when they are in need. You shouldn't be asking people directly for work. You should inform them of your specialties and making sure you are available when they need it.
