is there really any reason to go for razer or any other overpriced brand when alternatives like this exist that cost less than half the price?
>>
Razer is shit.
Stuff that costs more has better sensors and usually better build quality.
Faggot.
>>
>>55631986
There is nothing on the market that equals the Logitech only Pixart PMW-3366 used in the G303, G502 and G900.
Sure, cheaper mice do the job, and there are other great sensors out there, but this one has currently no rival. Downside is, the mice are expensive, but given Logitech's customer service and support and product durability, I find the price justified.
>>
>>55631986
Genius is my favorite brand for both premium and standard mice/keyboards.
>>
>>55631986
buy nice or by twice.
>>
Only mouse that Razer made well was Deathadder. Fuck everything else.
>>
>>55633327
what about the mamba 2012 (wired)?

This is my first "gaming mouse" and i'd like some opionions. I bought it for 50€ and i've already uninstalled synapse. I don't use wireless. From my understading this is basically a wireless version of the deathadder?
>>
>>55632813
>Downside is, the mice are expensive,
I can get the G303 for 50€
>>
>>55633445
I meant that relative. You can get mice 5 or 10 Euro. I do think they're worth the price, though.
>>
>>55633580
it seems tiny though...

I have moderately big hands and the g303 doesn't look comfortable for me

Do you know anything about the steelseries rival?
>>
>>55633327
Did anyone ever find out the native DPI of that mouse? 1800 is the default setting but people suspect that's not the native at all
>>
>>55633602
The G303 IS tiny. It's a claw/fingertip mouse.
If your looking for a palm grip mouse, you need to look at the G502 or G900. I got the G502, and also have moderately big hands, and it feels a little small, but not uncomfortably so. Maybe that's because I used the G600 before, which is fuckhuge.
>>
I got the one on OP's

Had it for almost a year now, pretty good so far.

Can only nitpick two problems, the rapid-fire macro is terrible, and the MMK is hard to press (I just mapped it somewhere else)
>>
>>55633635
For me, the G900 was an atrocious mouse for palm gripping. The massive gaps at the back of it feel completely awful and awkward. The G502 is almost perfect, though the left and right mouse buttons could stand to be a little wider.
>>
>>55633602
Its a sorta weird combination claw/fingertip grip.
Apparently its designed for up to down MOBAs.

But yea its fucking tiny if your regular grip is more regular or fps oriented.
>>
>>55633697
Worst thing for me is the damn thumbrest, already considered sawing it off.
I like to sense movement on the mousepad with both thumb and pinky, for faster and more accurate tracking.
Actually makes me consider a G900 now. I'll order one to test it.
>>
>>55631986
I have this exact mouse. It works pretty well, and fits nicely in my hand. My primary complaint is that it's too light, even with all of the weights inside. It has a tendency to slide around when the cord has even a bit of tension.

>is there any reason to go for [high priced brands] when [low priced brands] exist?
Yeah, because price generally correlates with quality. Ultimately, you never know until you try the product yourself, but you can get a good idea based on reviews.
>>
i've had a razer deathadder for years

no problems, no broken parts
>>
>>55633814
i have the mamba 2012 which is supposed to be the wirless version of that. I have it wired, obviously, but I have some questions.

1 - is the deathadder also as picky as mine in regards to the surface? If I go from mousepad to table the mouse stops working for a few seconds.
2 - as it ever happened to you that one of the axis stops working? Like for instance, the mouse only goes up and down, not left or right.
3 - Did you uninstall synapse?
4 - what dpi setting do you use?
>>
>>55633127

This sounds like some kind of boomer meme to sell you overpriced used cars at the lot. I`ve read about many expensive gaymer mice just falling apart in a short amount of time.

I literally just bought this motherfucker and it's honestly the best keyboard I've ever used. It's amazing to type on, but it's also a gaming keyboard with all of the important gaming features you'd expect.

And for 45 god damn dollars.
>>
>>55633994
>a gaming keyboard with all of the important gaming features you'd expect.
>important gaming features

???
>>
>>55633994
Didn't think you'd need a breakdown. Think of a base feature of a gaming keyboard and then compare to see if this one has it.

>NKRO
>Windows Lock Key
>LED lit with adjustable brightness
>Customizable WASD

Outside of macros what else do you need?

ok then
>>
>>55631986
Is it usable on linux with custom macros like my G600?

I have to program it with my windows laptop, but i can have 3 profiles on the mouse itself.
>>
>>55633445
50euros? That shit mouse is like 39$, even lower if you look into some sales, with that money, you can get a G502 if you added some 10 or so.

I got a SS Rival 300.

Coming from a Logitech mouse I used for like 4 years.

The difference was like night and day. I love this thing. No ricer bullshit, no bloat, no shite, no weird fucking racecar shape. Just a nice solid mouse, with solid rubber grips, two side buttons and a great size for my manhands and the accuracy is perfection. I play my games at 400 cpi.
>>
>>55633327
>The only good thing made by Razer is Deathadder.
Naw, the mouse was still garbage, I remember the original and the updated one, both broke down after a few months. The Left Mouse button had phantom clicks, scroll wheel didn't function properly, tracking issues and so on.

I still have my G502 since last year, and to this day it's still working perfectly.
>>
>>55633916
>only ever used a razer mouse mat thing (silver), honestly haven't run into the table
>no
>i use it
>1800, no acceleration, 6/11 windows
>>
>>55632813
What about the pixart 3988?
>>
>>55634346
>with solid rubber grips
Those things on the sides always end up coming out.

ALWAYS

I hate it so much. One more reason why I'm considering buying the G502

Not quite sure how to use this.

Razer Mamba 2012 4G (dual sensor)
>>
>>55636368
When you press start there are instructions at the bottom. You have to move your mouse in certain ways.
>>
>>55636161
Get a Sica then, same sensor as Rival 300 and "the classic shape" with no bullshit.

Upgrade to the G502 and its edgy design or go with the G500S/G700S?

Upgrading from a MX 518 that is still going strong after 7 years.
>>
>>55637900
The smoothness always gives me different numbers and the resolution doesn't seem to have any purpose
>>
>>55638171
The smoothness depends on how round your movements are and resolution only shows your real dpi.
>>
>>55631986
I got that mouse for 5 bucks. It was better than nothing but the buttons are very hard to press. It matters a lot.
>>
For those that don't know the mouse in the OP has internal memory. That means you can setup the mouse once then uninstall the drivers and the mouse will continue to work.

If you plug the mouse into a new PC with no OS the mouse keybinds and macros are still working in the bios screen.
>>
>>55640417
Isn't that the case with every modern gaming mouse?
>>
Whats the reccomended mouse for something solid around $50 with at least 1 side button
>>
>>55634191
>Just get a ps/2 keyboard?

Yep, that makes sense in 2016

>pic related
1. removing a key does not disable it
2. don't be dumb

>no ledz
I don't know about you, but I like being able to see my keyboard in low light. Not to mention the ambient light it provides
