What's the tracker?
You could make a post on /r/netsec about them being plaintext (HTTP) only, with screenshots of their responses. Also hit their social media (Twitter, Facebook) accounts with a post about it.
If it's truly laughable, it'll take on a life of itself, ESPECIALLY if their responses are dismissive.

I only take torrents from private trackers if they are not available on public trackers or public trackers has a low number of seeders. I keep my ratio at ~2 all the time.
