Hi guys, I'm a complete tech newfag but I want to know if I should upgrade to windows 10 from 7. There's the whole issue with DirectX 12 being exclusive to windows 10 and I dont want to end up paying for it 6 months down the line.
Should I upgrade whilst its free?

Don't listen to the /g/ autists. Update. I updated day 1 and never regretted it, it's better than 7 in every way possible. Plus it's free until the end of the month.

it's ok i guess, some improvements. don't really use it for more than some shitty games i should stop playing though, so if there are some glaring flaws you get from everyday use. i wouldn't really know.

At the end of the day, if you're running Windows 7 or newer you're being tracked the same as you are in 10. So if that was stopping you, don't let it.
And with that out of the picture, there is literally no other reason not to upgrade, Windows 10 is comfy af.

You can temporarily upgrade to get the free license on that PC, but you don't have to start using it. There's no point anyway and 10 is still kinda buggy and unfinished.

Tracking in 7 and 8 is easy to disable, unlike 10.
