I heard that Chromebooks were suitable for tech illiterates like my mom but I don't have to pay apple prices. I want to get her one so she doesn't have to keep asking me if she should click ok for an update or not.
Problem is nobody sells them in my country and reading Amazon reviews I find all these salty people crying about how their shit broke in a month due to faulty hardware and the manufacturers were trying to screw them on the warranty no matter what the model.
I don't want to go though a warranty ordeal while paying for international postage so are Chromebooks just cheat unreliable memeshit or if butthurt in reviews are always to be expected?

I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 the model with 4gb of ram and i use it for school and it's perfectly fine for all web browsing tasks and simple word documents.

For 200$ and having 10 hour battery life I am 100% satisfied and would buy again. I've used it for about a year now still works fine battery degraded slightly.
