Archidroid or CM12?

Wanted to root my SGS3 but CM13 is out of the question cuz my phones hardware sucks for Android 6.
So I wanted to have Android 5 instead. Don't really care about what I can customize or not as long as I can at least set a background image. What I'm after is a rocksolid stable powerhouse of sheer performance. No crashes, no lags, no stuttering, no random reboot, no failing to find SIM.
According to your guys experiences, which one of the two comes closest to that? CM12 or Archi? I read a lot about positive feedback regarding performance on both of them.

Op I have cm13 on sgs3 and it works better than android 5.0. And the battery life is even better than 4.x

What version exactly and did you flash with TWRP or CWM?
