Planning to buy a SSD. Since they are pushing spyware everything, I'm wondering if there are reported cases of infected firmwares in SSDs. Are there some brands that I should avoid?

Buy intel so youre at least infected by american spyware instead of chink or gook
No need to worry about the firmware, the hardware itself could be compromised and no one would ever know

They all require proprietary firmware to function so they are all already part of the botnet.
They only way we will ever be free from the botnet is if we can have a 3d printable laptop and a CPU or APU with open source microcode.
Until that happens there is no escaping the botnet.
Everything is infected
