Laptop with good quality 1080p display

Help me out with some purchase advice lads.
I want a new laptop for media consumption. The only essential criteria is that it has a good quality 1080p display*. So what is the cheapest laptop with a good quality 1080p display?
*by good quality, I mean respectable contrast, colors and black depth. I can't handle owning another laptop with a bottom-of-the-barrel 1366x768 display that's physically uncomfortable to look at because the "blacks" are cloudy blue-grey and the contrast ratio is in the single digits.

unfortunately, you have to get one of the higher end laptops for a good display. that'd be around $900
